Downtown Tampa office tower Fifth Third Center has new Boston owner

TAMPA — The 19-story Fifth Third Central tower in downtown Tampa has been sold to Farley White, a Boston-based investment company for an undisclosed price. Built in 1981, the 281,187-square-foot Class A tower at 201 E. Kennedy Boulevard has a remodeled, two-story lobby and panoramic views of the Tampa skyline. A connected six-story parking garage has 244 spaces.

The tower, named after lead tenant Fifth Third Bank, last sold three years ago for $47.25 million years ago to an affiliate of Bridge Investment Group.

The brokerage CBRE arranged the sale to Farley, which bought Tampa's Hidden River corporate office park last year for $73 million. Among the tenants of that property are Citigroup and Johnson & Johnson.
